Reitman was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is the son of Geneviève
Robert, an actress, and comedy director Ivan Reitman. Reitman started out
making short films during his time at USC. Reitman started out making short
films during his time at USC. Throughout his 20s, instead of accepting offers
to make commercial feature films, Reitman began making his own short films and
directing commercials.
Some of the films he has directed include; Juno, Jennifer's Body, Ghost Buster II, What Doesn't Kill You and Fathers Day. These films are all quite unique in comparison to one another showing us that Jason Reitman is extremely talented in all aspects of directing. This also shows he doesnt show a style of film making as he has made a variety of different genres.

This task gave me a better understanding of what it takes to become a film director and the process the person I chose went to, to get to where he is now. It also showed me that even as a director you can have jobs in different fields that are related to directing for example script writer.
